Terms of Use
Conditions of access and limitations of use.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Chorus, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the application.
2. Educational and Research Use Only
Chorus is provided strictly for educational and research purposes. It is an experimental tool: simulation results it generates are not clinically validated. This application is not a medical device and is not intended for use in the diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of disease.
Do not use Chorus in actual patient care. Its outputs must never guide real-world dosing — not even as a cross-check. Real clinical decisions must be made with validated clinical decision support tools and standard institutional protocols, not with this application.
3. Known Limitations
By using this tool, you acknowledge the following explicit limitations:
- The platform is designed for adult patients only (≥ 18 years of age). Pediatric pharmacokinetics are not modeled.
- The platform does not support renal replacement therapies, including continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), intermittent hemodialysis (HD), or peritoneal dialysis (PD). It must not be used for patients receiving these therapies.
- Simulation results are theoretical mathematical estimates derived from population pharmacokinetic models. They do not guarantee actual physiological or clinical outcomes.
- Model performance varies by patient population. The included models were developed in specific cohorts and may not generalize to all clinical settings.
4. No Clinical Validation
Chorus has not been evaluated in a prospective clinical trial and has not undergone the regulatory review or certification required of clinical decision support software. The ensemble methodology, machine learning components, and dosing optimization algorithms have not been independently validated for clinical efficacy or patient safety. Use is at the user's own risk.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
Chorus is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. The developers expressly disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. No warranty is made that the application will be error-free, uninterrupted, or produce accurate results for any given patient.
6. Limitation of Liability
Under no circumstances shall the creators, developers, or maintainers of Chorus be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages — including adverse patient outcomes, clinical error, injury, or death — arising from use of or reliance on this application.
By using Chorus, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless its developers from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the application or violation of these Terms.
7. User Data Responsibility
Because Chorus operates entirely locally, you are solely responsible for the security, access controls, and backup of your workspace files. The developers cannot recover lost data and have no access to your local files under any circumstances.
8. Modifications and Availability
The developers reserve the right to modify, update, suspend, or discontinue the application at any time without notice. No obligation exists to update the models or methods, or to advise users of changes in published vancomycin dosing guidance.
